Pink and yellow roses bask in the sun…
An urn holds your ashes, like mother’s womb
Would nourish a much loved daughter or son…
Life out of ashes… roses in full bloom…
You returned to the garden in our home…
There’s no place for you in rigid marble tomb,
In an edifice, or majestic dome…
Life out of ashes… roses in full bloom…
Looking at the roses I see you smile…
Your smile lifts from my heart the heavy gloom,
You’re inside my heart smiling all the while…
Life out of ashes… roses in full bloom…
You’re at home near me, we’re never apart…
Here at home with me… at home in my heart…

Thank you for this very beautiful poem for a loved one departed but never forgotten. The roses speak life back to you and "lifts from your heart the heavy gloom"... simply excellent.
