Passions ignited with a word
Spirits entwined, lovers across time
Hearts immersed, begging to touch
Desires overwhelming reason
Boundaries challenged, losing control
Rendezvous, irresistible, guilt etched
Need driving want, all consuming
Pathway to a destiny unknown
Catapulted into fantasies realm
Dreams turning toward reality
Foreign yet disturbingly familiar
Terrified yet unwilling to let go
Anticipating each encounter
Heart pounding, a narcotic to the soul
A situation impossible at best
A situation impossible to resist
A Force of Nature unstoppable
Unleashed upon two unsuspecting hearts
One line in particular makes me curious:
'Terrified yet unwilling to let go '
I COULD relate to nearly all the rest of the poem but not this one line,I didn't understand it,guess it is because terror for me is more in the holding on than in the letting go...(ignore me, I am 'odd bod')let me know if I've misinterpreted the meaning of that line please, your poem is excellent poetry.
