A poem of fantasy

flat hues on chipped wood burning thoughts of dismay

tossed onto the remnants of the hearts we  gave away

smokey sentences etched into silver stones we wear

laying breathless in your arms i see them everywhere

remembering tulips edging where you grew wild and free

we picked and kissed and inhaled as they drifted on the breeze

waking up the darkness with a brush of heaven's paint

your lips remained upon me when i listened in the rain

roads leading to steps away from bliss in half light smiles

weeping when the stars steal you in your shadow styles

in my hands in the  morning are traces of your face in hues

crackling within my bridges to parts unknown in truths

berry colored bliss returns with shoes of golden bells

into your arms i am lifted when the sound of music swells

my nighttime dreamtime lover of  things my heart embraces

come to me with your feather shoes and fly us both to places

places left in snowy woods where sunlight has vacationed

and the trees still speak of things the fairies did with patience

and we wait too, though our parts are two and suspended in formation

in the ether of this otherworld where bliss is our creation

Fantastic fantasy write, Michelle. I certainly appreciate the format as well; the rhyme and rhythm enhancing the flow of the creative expression. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes with hugs,

I love the way you seem to spin the magical, mythical and dreamworld into the reality of time. Hearts can love within these lines and your heart opens to reveal such great passion. Well done Michelle.

Such beauty, such passion in delicate lines of wonderment, belying the strong, courageous woman underneath: stunning. Well done, Michelle.

I finally found the passion in your poetry. But what it takes is a strong, independent, spiritual woman...like me, to get the world of many dysfuntional men to get it...WHAT DO REAL WOMEN WANT? (1) To be loved like God says to love (2) and the simply essence of your poem. (No offense to our DEN men {I hope})
