LISTEN TO THE CHILDREN

I learn from my students
A lesson every day.
As I listen to their emotions
And the silent words they say.

Some are pleading for understanding
Acceptance and love.
Some only ask for recognition
A credit they all deserve.

Other ask to be a part
Of my small world each day.
I try very hard to include them
And help them find their way.

For this world is full of trouble
Disappointment and pain
I wish I could solve their problems
Give them sunshine instead of rain.

In my mission to fulfill
I am learning more each day.
I listen to the children
For they have much to say.
