I've had to make some choices
Many not understood by man
I've had to make some sacrifices
That were not easy to understand
As difficult as some of the choices were
That my flesh wanted to override
I have to admit, the things I gave up
Gave me more peace and joy inside
Now I know some of those choices were weights
Disguised as wants and needs
And many of the things I laid aside
Were things that kept my flesh appeased
So without the weights it's easier to hear
The difference in my voice, God's voice and man's
And with each weight now that I lay aside
I'm freer to run the best race that I can
WOW! What a powerful write and so, so true; how quickly we disguised the the weight that keeps us bound, and places stumbling blocks in front of our blessings...Thank GOD for the HOLY GHOST.
