Sterile head-spins

She limps
thru the garbage

dirty with
weight
bloated in
every sense
of the word

pale like
a whisper

tan like a
bad smell

soaked to
the bone in
pickled disgust

ugly with
indifferent
ease

wretched with
the vermin of waste

out of the toxic
swamp of dreams
she stumbles

nearly finished
almost complete

but falls
on her face
shattering in
drops of
variegated poison

hence marking
the filthy
ending of
a pretty good
idea.
