Texas Hippie

i'm just
a texas hippie
long hair and all.
gettin' older every minute,
stayin' forever young.

dancin' with the devil
payin' the fiddler when i can.
singin' songs about tomorrow.
livin' in yesterday.
feelin' all my sorrow.

i'm just a texas hippie
what else can i say.
i like my music country,
blues & rock-n-roll.
i don't do the 2-step,
i just do the stroll.

don't own no wranglers,
ain't got no hat.
still love my levis.
that's where i'm at.

i ain't no cowboy.
ain't never been.
just an old texas hippie,
like i was back when.
