it's been one of Those days.
been in a haze.
to coin a phrase...
"i been in a daze".
my brain feels like a maze.
keep tryin' ta' write a poem
or at least a catchy phrase.
but all the words keep slippin' aways.

nuthin' would begin.
and it sure wouldn't end.
and nuthin' would send
a thought to wrend
an ought that would mend
or bend or lend what i sought.
the words just wouldn't be caught.

oh, there was some fear.
that's always near.
and yeah, there was a tear
or two.
after all, i'm always blue.
but that just wouldn't do.

i wanted sumpin' happy.
sumpin' snappy.
even sumpin' sappy.
you know... toe tappy.

but, it was just one of Those days.
hope it's just a phase.
well, i still got blue.
guess that'll have ta' do.
