yesterdays trash

yesterdays trash
we don't wanna rehash
we've lost that stash
tomorrow we worry
yesterday already had it's story
life gets blurry
when we always worry
about life's trash that we threw away
trash day is mondays and thursdays
and if they don't pick it up, you're
stuck till the next time around
you're stuck with your trash
so you have to stash
all that old trash
hard to recycle
like a stationary bicycle
no matter how fast that you go
you'll always know
you aint' going nowhere
till the trash man gets there
cause only on mondays and thrusdays
does the trash man come around
till life picks up its trash
AND THEY HAUL IT away
yesterdays
old tubes of tooth paste
the things that we waste
waitin ta taste
empty bottles
mouth wash R'whisky
those things are all risky
those things we put under our arms
those things we keep from our mind
fearing the harms
soap & shampoo
old cans
and old can't's
after all
trash always attracts the ants
and the ain'ts
when we realize we ain't saints

so we stick away plastic bags,
brown or white
so we can loose sight
of the things we've thrown away
there in the trash cans waitin'
for the trash man
waitin' ta see
our lives as they be
waitin ta rehash
our lives
there in our trash
we wish we could
we would if we could
recycle our lives
take back our trash
as best we could

yes steve...some of yesterdays trash is the harsh words one person leaves for another. words that are lashed out in frustration and delivered in such a way as to cause maximum injury to the others soul, all because they weren't there to hold the broken person and tell them everything will be all right.

i will more than miss you, i will care about you.

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
