a monolog that i am so proud of its sick

i've also added the rhyme scheme

My child wept in the night A
My new born babe screamed and wailed B
I lay awake listening to their begs C
I could stand it no longer and I took my flight A
Into my babes room; to her bedside I sailed B
Her silenced cry stirred her brother to my legs C

The babe squealed and shook A
And from her cradle, a stuffed animal I saw B
It was the one she loved; I placed above her head C
Her hands rose up. The bear she took A
Then quaked beneath my hands as the boy began to crawl B
He peeked into the cradle and found his sister dead C

His eyes widened; fear taking hold of his face A
He clung to me squeezing tightly B
‘mama please don’t hurt me” I herd his cry C
I took the bumper from the crib covered in pink lace A
His chin in my hand; placing the fabric round his neck slightly B
“Please” he spoke a tear rolled down his cheek “I don’t wanna die” C

I tightened the frills around his neck, until his finally slept A
I scooped him up to lie on my shoulder B
My daughter now in my arms silently still C
I laid my head on my son’s; buried my face and wept A
Not from guilt but from happiness as their lifeless bodies grew colder B
I held them close rocking back and forth whispering in the dark “I could never kill” C
