My first thought, upon reading your poem, turned to Barbaro, the 2006 Kentucky Derby winner, who suffered what ultimately became a life-ending injury, later down the road. This would be a beautiful tribute to any pet, horse or otherwise, though.
The beauty of this write is only a reflection of the beuty of the writer's heart and the love she felt and will always feel for her horse. Well said Becca
