give me a poet
for a lover
whose words
stroke me
like velvet hands.
Word-tender caresses
more reaching
than the caress
of a mere mortal man.
A poet's light touch
is so gentle.
Word-fingers probe
deep every time,
arousing me,
haunting me,
wetting me,
seducing me,
body and mind.
Oh Lord,
give me a poet
for a lover!
Lust and fire
burn in his heart.
A silver-tongued devil
whose words make me ache
to be on my knees
in the dark.
Word-foreplay
making me want him,
only mind-loved,
I want to be free
to feel just one time
my poet inside,
where only mind-lust
up to now has loved me.
very cute, sensual, and sexy Cj, I can relate, a certain poetess with the initials of CJ have just made me feel the flame. I think quite a few of us poets and poetess feel emotions toward each other, we have verse in common, then there's our humanity and imagination. Love is always a great fantasy, sometimes left right there
This is the other side of you CJ, that us newcomers had only a few glimpses of...I'm just wondering if any little barking spiders are watching...Smiles to you on this well written, "A Poet for a Lover"

Beautiful thoughts and skillfully conveyed. Still I chuckle because I have a poem called "In Love With A Poet" and it's more about how insane he makes me. LOL. ~~Nordette

Omg this is beautiful very lovely it brings me joy to read many poets love poems because love is important in our world without it we wouldnt survive that is true..yet some that live Single amazingly survive lol>^^
Only a poet can appreciate this poem and only a poet can penetrate the mind so deeply. An oldie of yours I know but the damned thing deserves a comment. It's brilliant.
