YOU Rescue Me!

During my life, there has been much strife.
Yet, You are always my beacon,
Leading me toward Your goodness.
I know you are God and I am human.

You have always been my beacon of hope.
Yet, sometimes I felt the light flicker.
Of course, it was because I was blinking
Back the tears.

You have always been my beacon of hope.
Sometimes I was in the dark.
I’d lost Your spark.
I was such a dope.

You have always been my beacon of hope.
I rejoice when I can clearly “see”
The direction in which you point me,
And feel Your light – its warmth and strength.

You have always been my beacon of hope
Through my trials and joys.
It is Your strength that gets me through.
I have learned to trust in You.

I am truly blest
That you take care of me.
YOU give me strength to carry on.
YOU always shower me with love.
When I fall, YOU always rescue me.
