The Poet in You

Here’s to the poet in you.
Your poems tell me who you are
Your travels, your dreams or screams, your memoir.

The travels maybe physical,
They may be spiritual,
They may be factual or fictional.

Your poems are forthright
And bring heart wrenching, heartwarming insight,
An occasional giggle, or even fright,
Nevertheless, always they delight.

Some I’m not so sure, that your meaning I did comprehend,
Yet, all have been a Godsend.

So, here’s to the poet in you
Keep on doing what you do!
