Life
By Kathy Armijo

There are days when I sigh
And wonder,
Is life as it seems?

Seems I could just curl up and die.
Seems I could be a butterfly.
Seems I could win the lottery.
Seems I could make wonderful pottery.

Then, I pick myself up
And dust myself off.
Enough of this preposterous thinking.
Time to get on with living.

Life is as it seems,
Good and bad –
Wonderful and sad.
I choose how my life seems.

Perhaps, I need to re-evaluate my thinking,
I can begin dreaming, pursuing and fulfilling.
My life is not flawed.
My life is an example of a loving God.

Just when I think I’ve figured it out,
I get frustrated and just want to scream and shout.
Is life as it seems?
It this a nightmare or a dream?

Life sometimes seems overbearing.
Could it be that in my own pity-pot
I am sinking and stinking?
Sometimes it’s the sadness to which I am clinging.

Life often seems like a fairytale,
With a happily ever after ending.
Does it matter if I put my own twist on it,
While others see it differently?

Who knows?  Who cares?  Wowie, so what!
Life is what I deem it to be,
Silly, happy me!

Kathy,

Is it possible to have a handle on life? Happiness can't come from within if one is without and if one is trapped within can happiness come from without? Blessings in all You do, Always Paul.

Indeed, everyones reality is prolly diffo, as we are all unique.
We have to rid our hearts of the clutters and see with 20/20.
Nice kinda rambling and lamenting....

Part of the responsibility of a creative thinker is being able to discern (and choose) between what is pure and necessary, and what is feigned. We will never figure it out! The only way we get through is to keep our eyes and hearts focused on Christ and let Him guide us by His Holy Spirit - as He did with you in the writing of this.
Blessings ...

I've been away for a few days. What a wonderful poem to welcome me back. Life's ups and downs can be leveled out as we allow God to walk with us.

When we came on earth, no one asked us and no one told us why we are here, but some knew well, like the great master from Nazareth, he tried to tell us, but we were in a slumber. We don't have to know what life is all about; we have to feel life every second. The rest everyone will see. Live your life as it comes. Bravo Kathy

Kathy,

Excellent - to live is to dream, to dream is to live. :) Just thought of that one. LOL

Life is worth it if you have the right attitude; right now my attitude sucks. Got denied my disability (AGAIN; NOT disabled enough), feeling frustrated.
