Taking It with Me

You can’t take it with you
W R O N G!

I will take your love
And share it with those above

I will safeguard your picture
Keeping it close to my heart

I will savor the memories
Until we meet to make more

These are the promises of His word
To be happy forever more

Yes!  I WILL take these with me
Making heaven more heavenly

Your poems just are what I have been feeling since Tom died at age 58 on Aug 17 07. I cry tears and know he is looking and keeping after me in heaven and your poems are sentimental and help me through my grief. Thank you.

A lovely sentimental poem that reminds me of the storehouse of memories for family members who have passed on, which I'll take with me when I greet them in eternity.

Nicely done, Kathy.
