It was just an ordinary tree under which a young man had sat in the shade to shield off the scorching sun.
The journey was long, and he had still a long road ahead to travel, although he had not an idea where he was heading.
His future was rather unknown even to himself. He did not have any plans.
Suddenly, something had flown to the ground from the sky, and it landed right in front of him.
He looked up to see a beautiful woman with magnificent wings, spreading across, almost making the sky invisible to him.
“Young man, why are you so sad?” asked the woman.
“I feel sad because I still have such a long journey to travel, and I have not an idea what lies ahead on this road for me," he replied.
“Young man, think about what you want to do in the future," said the woman.
“I don’t know, I’m still deciding. Everything seems so far and unreachable,” replied the young man.
“You should take one step at a time, and never lose your hopes and your dreams,” said the woman.
“I dream of becoming a writer, but I feel I lack the skill and the wisdom,” said the young man.
Without saying a word, the woman plugged a feather out of her wings and gave it to the young man.
“Take this quill and start writing everyday, no matter what you write, just believe in yourself that it is the best work you have ever written.”
The young man held the feather, and it began to glow in his hands.
Suddenly...he realized it was the most beautiful and precious gift he had ever received, and he felt it must be treasured forever for as long as he writes.
He looked at its glow in wonderment and wondered if he was encountering an angel - an extraordinary being from out of this world who had come to inspire him.
“Thank you, Angel!" He decided to call her Angel because she was so kind and beautiful.
"I shall never forget you. You have given me the inspiration to write, and I shall never give up my hopes and dreams. Thank you for your gift of wisdom!”
And so the young man began to write, and write, and write, and in time everyone knew his name. He was William Shakespeare!

I like the twist to your story. So that's how the Bard got his talent? Makes me wonder. I fully agree with the writing part. But good writing takes good editing, and sometimes the viewpoint of other angels to make it better and resonate with the public.
