beatitudes of YOU..

Alabastrine Moon Flowers

spill me inside the skyway of your infinite dreams

where we might shine like pearlescent moon-drops

glistering upon the rising stars with expressive wishes

as we waltz intimately among the perfuming garden

plucking velvety rose petals from their stern thorns

whispering to the gracil softness of eventide’s embrace

where we enjoy this avowing intimacy with God’s love

that I might dance with the harvest of your innate promises

bathing our living souls amidst the fountain of romantic balms

twirling my love for you amidst this passionate bounty

I flourish within these pools of our nectarous emotions

kiss me now, …among the trellis of alabastrine moon flowers

while I listen to the melodious songs of the arriving skylarks

“McColley weaves an elaborate painting harboring rich, and colorful expressions with stylistic finesse…! To say anything less would be criminal.

This is one beautiful poetic run-on sentence. I must say lets let it be and let this poetic romantic sonnet flow on and on! While we are at it lets Praise the Lord for the talent that he brings to us. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. (Psalm 150:1, 3-6)

Vickie, I praise the Lord for you! Amen!

You had me with your opening line. What a blending of words and emotion! Now I will have to read the other 711.

Had to look up "alabastrine" to make sure it was a real word or one of your concoctions. It looked like a bastardization of alabaster, and I was right. The poem is lovely, but I have come to expect lovely from your talented pen. This one engaged the senses to the nth. I love it is what I'm trying to say. Heh.Heh

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
