The Water’s Edge
Here we are walking in the mist
Touched by God’s surroundings
Orange oval sun over the horizon
Creating the light of day
Morning’s freshness is oh so sweet
With cool white sand cushioning our feet
We hold the snares of the world at bay
As we stop, kneel down to pray
Full of imaginings, the hope of all people
A life of caring sprinkled with love
For brothers and sisters across the land
To begin each day, with help from above
Then with spirits lifted, we stand again
Strolling to where new life begins
Taking a dip while covering our heads
Peace overcomes us, releasing all dread
Oh, how magnificent is this place
Reminding us of God’s grace
Strolling along the water’s edge
