Somewhere along the line, this got written whilst I was sleeping. Seriously. I woke up one morning and this was written in my handwriting on a notebook I keep next to my bed. I don't remember writing it, but I must have. :) Anyway, the woman it's for is one very special woman. :)
I can see it clearly now.
As clear as night and day.
You are the one for me.
Please tell me that you'll stay.
You came into my life
When I was down and lonely
And you brightened my whole life
With the simple way you smile.
There was no way to expect
I would ever find true love
I'd been burned a thousand times
Trying to find that one true match.
But now things have changed
Life will never be the same.
Cause you're in my heart.
You're everything I need
You're the stars in my night
You're the sun in my day.
You're in my heart.
You're everything I need
Take my hand and share my life
And don't ever go away
Once upon a time
I read it in a story
That a fool who falls in love
Is a fool in all his glory
And somewhere in the night
As I held you close to me
True love filled my empty heart
That's why I'm telling you today
That now things have changed
Life will never be the same.
Cause you're in my heart.
You're everything I need
You're the stars in my night
You're the sun in my day.
You're in my heart.
You're everything I need
Take my hand and share my life
And don't ever go away
And no one ever showed me
Love could ever feel this way
Like a blind man in the night
I'm trying to feel my way
But now that you're here with me
The darkness turns to day
Your love's a beacon in the night
Pointing me the right way.
Now things have changed
Life will never be the same.
Cause you're in my heart.
You're everything I need
You're the stars in my night
You're the sun in my day.
You're in my heart.
You're everything I need
Take my hand and share my life
And don't ever go away
Take my hand and share my life
And don't ever go away
I can see it clearly now.
As clear as night and day.
You are the one for me.
Please tell me that you'll stay.
