I sit in silence
Hearing only
The beating of my heart
The sound is deafening
As my heart races
Waiting, but for what?
Darkness surrounds me
As I wait
I close my eyes
Against the darkness
Not sure why
When my eyes are closed
I can see the sun
Shining, children playing
Happy times
If I listen to the darkness
I hear my heart pound
If I listen to the sun
I can hear the children playing
I can hear my self singing
If I listen to the sun
I can hear your voice
Whisper in my ear
If I keep my eyes closed
I can feel the warmth
Of your touch
If I listen to the sun
I can be with you
Forever
