Begone thee Spirit that haunts me

as I go through my every day;

flaunting my constant  moves

whether in work or play.


Take leave of my mind, my body,

whilst I contemplate chores bold,

for I must complete each duty

that grasps me in its hold.

Draw back, you Evil Spirit,

you stress my nerves so raw.

No conscience do you have, as

I snap at each last straw.

My attempts at maintaining patience

are not heeded by you, with your damning frown;

my anxiety peaks, my face is flushed

WHEN MY ‘PUTER DOES CRASH DOWN!

You blankety-blank, All Too Evil Spirit!!

Authors Note; I’m by no means Tech knowledgeable, but I’m learning the hard way. Over previous several weeks, changes within my server corrupted my Windows XP. Extreme, but finally fixed. Next, the Covad DSL provider would go kapoot on/off. Temporary resolve until 11-6, at which time I switched to new DSL server, installed their modem only to find it was “damaged” – for hours I thought it was my installation of all the phone-filters, cables, lines, etc...I was sooo careful. Late 11-6, I talked with server supervisor who verified the problem - damaged modem - and ordered a new modem to be sent me. So I sat and awaited its arrival (no internet access!)…and wrote poetry, drumed my fingers, and paced the floors! Then wrote more poetry, an attempt at humor for my own sake. Better than hissing at my kitties, poor babies.)
