A gentle breeze blows across your unshaven
Handsome face, as I recall the dessert
Blooms present along the mighty
Sahara’s trodden pathways to
Enter an oasis filled with
Light watery delights.
The coarse chapped skin of your work weary
Hands consume my mind as it drifts to
The cracked and cragged mountains
Of the magnificent pacific ocean
Where the Rockies tower high
Into the endless billowing.
Broad, tanned, solid shoulders rest over a highly
Energized structure invigorated with
Burning passion and undying love,
Yet I rebel in it, like the soaring
Eagles that glides effortlessly
On heated thermals.
Deep, smoky blue pools of restless motions peer
Tenderly into my eyes, as I dive deep into
The pit of turmoil knowing our love
And lives will never be timid or
Tame, but will always build
Upon the feelings of now.
