Shapeshifter hidden in the plainest sight
during day
Waiting in the soft shadows of the night
for his prey
Longing for the earth's soft mist
and the rain
Fearing silvers deadly kiss
it brings pain
Running through the nights clean air
feeling free
Daylight only brings despair
and misery
Hunted for what he has become
and what he means
Yet they too turn to run
hear their screams
Sometimes he may feel regret
for their pain
Yet most times he soon forgets
the crimson stain
In a human form, so confused,
so dispairing
A man yet a beast so torn
a deadly pairing
Hear the sounds slip from triumph to despair
as sunlight lights the land
from this accursed pair
from the beast and man

Just wanted to try something different.....
