Sitting in the silence,
Of the early morning hour
Trusting God to reveal,
His majesty and power.
 

Laying my cares out openly
Praying for release…
Knowing that God does see
Problems that must cease!
 

I lay every thought captive
At my Master’s feet,
Striving to continually live
Free of distractions and defeat.
 

Lord, I pray for victory
Over my thoughts and mind
As you squeeze out impurity
Casting all cares behind.
 

I know that you love me
And you have a perfect plan.
Working on my behalf
I have no greater fan!
