When a loved one dies we must still celebrate life.
c. 2003 M. Bennett Hooper Just because you're not here does not mean you are not present in my life Anymore than clouds kill the sun when it is not shining. Just because you're not here does not mean I have forgotten how to love And live, but moreso because of the life we shared together. Just because you're not here does not mean I do not long for you but can gain comfort from the many times we shared in happiness. Just because you're not here does not mean I shall never love again Because it was you who helped me define real and lasting love. I shall love you forever and it makes me feel warm inside to know that you knew how much I loved you and because I loved you I shall love again, and again, and again, in celebration of my love for you. Just because you blessed my life with your presence in it. Love is eternal and ever flowing.

Marion, this is a lovely poem and so very true. I just wrote one for my ex-mom-in-law who passed on TG day, she was ready and we're happy that she'd not suffering.
