A poem about how God ministers to us, Balm is one of my favorite poems, though probably not my best. This poem is featured in my book, "Becoming: My Personal Memoirs".
I am the balm of Gilead
In me find your healing
No need to walk around sad
All you need to be is willing
In this balm is abundance of peace
And a time for us to share
A time for you to increase
And release all of your care
In the balm that I provide
I know you can be whole
All your issues will subside
And you'll have peace in your soul
Come, my child, receive your balm
Don't let it pass you by
Let my love bring you calm
