Leave my heart where you find it
aloft in the trees
Taste my soul in the heather
while down on your knees.
Let me see your desire when
you pass me by
Grant to me your devotion
before I shall die.

For I long to be loved
in the meadows of flowers
Where minutes transpire
unfolding as hours.
To feel that your passion
could last me forever
A tie bound in love
that no other can sever.

Complete me at last
‘till my will I surrender
To bask in the power
these feelings can render.
Look with longing inside
deep in windows of soul
Fill me up with your thirst
‘till I lose all control.

Then I’ll promise you heaven
when you call my name
Where the fires of hell
seem a sweet candle flame.
In the flicker of light
‘neath the shadows that hover
I anxiously wait
for the touch of my lover.
