Original version of a poem I wasn't too crazy about at first, but after a revision, I am in awe of it's beauty, and my change of style.
It Is Morning Now
It is morning now, and the birds are a twitter.
The leaves and trees shake off and sun
Their morning glitter.
It is morning now, and a brand new day,
Begins anew, as many pray.
The prayers they lift to their God with gladness.
The tears accompanying them,
Shed now in sadness.
It is morning now, and many wonder,
Will another day change those that plunder?
We offer up imperfect praises,
To a perfect Lord, to whom the dead raises.
It is morning now, and the world begins to clatter,
As many try to renew their lives of shatter.
We ask you Lord to help them always,
To know it is Your Grace and Praise that matters.
It is morning now, and time to start a new direction,
Using my whole heart, to uplift and renew,
The life of others.
Today, I’ll start with God’s best;
I’ll be with My Mother, and together,
We will complete the test,
To stand up for what is right, with zest.
