This message was sent with the poem. "Tough poem to write. I want nothing more than you to be happy and only you can decide what is right. God, I love you, and as such, your happiness means more to me than mine. I really don't know how I'll make it, but, I know I will. I need you in my life in some way and always will. I want to fight to keep you, but, I have no right to and I can't fight you to love you. I love and admire you so much and I need you everyday."
The last four lines say it all, Ed. Sometimes, regardless of how hard we try to fix things, God knows best and we're meant to move on. Good luck to you. If there's one thing I've always preached, it is that writing is the best therapy a person can have during a difficult time in life. Words, however pained, can often bring comfort and aid in the healing process. I hope you've found that writing about your sad experience did help you.
