It's not a decision I could have ever made but many women have. I have seen such heartache over abortion that lasts a lifetime. The pain of that decision never seems to go away. I wrote this to try and help those who have made this decision so they can go on.

LITTLEST ANGEL

I'll never know this child and I'll never see the tears,

That I'm sure this child's shedding, that I'll shed through the years.

This child will never know the joy that life can sometimes bring.

And he will never know me, and my heart no longer sings.

I question what he's thinking and I wonder if he'll forgive.

He'll never have his chance at life to laugh, to love or live.

What must he be thinking, and is he with the angels above?

Are they showing him the way with tenderness and love?

I wonder what he'd look like and what he'd grow to be.

Would he be a president and would he look a lot like me?

He must have many questions; I wish I had answers for.

I too asked those questions, and everyday there's plenty more.

Would he say, "Mommy I truly understand, I know you really loved me, but it wasn't meant to be.  I will always love you for you're a part of me.  I wish that you could have held me and taken away my pain.  And gave me hugs and kisses that would have carried me through this rain.  I yearned you could have told me, about the journey I had to take.  And explained who'd take care of me, when I got to that special place.  I felt so scared and frightened 'cause I was all alone.  With no one here to guide me and a sun that's never shown.  I was in total darkness with no one to take my hand.  No one to hear my cries or pleas and no one to understand.  I didn't know how to tell them, that I was feeling scared. And it didn't seem important to anyone, 'cause no one really cared.  At that moment I hated you, for you discarded me, but then the angels came and heard my silent plea. Encompassing me beneath their wings, I felt so safe and loved.  They dried my tears with kisses and carried me up above.  Then they took me to the father who put me on his knee.  He told me all the reasons on how this came to be.  So I do forgive and understand and hope someday we'll meet.  I will be the littlest angel sitting at God's feet."

This one really touches the heart, Bonnie. How many of us have wondered how it is for the babies as they are aborted? The sadness goes on. Hopefully, in answer to our earnest prayers, legalized abortion will soon become a shame of the past.

Love,
Connie

Bonnie,

I used to believe that if a Mama's life was in danger, abortion was okay. Not anymore: a child's a child the second it's conceived. 'Course, may not look like much in the beginning, but it's a human form...to play God is wrong, deciding who lives, who dies. Sad one today, very well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(
