Know What’s Important!
If only we realized how little people talk about us,
We wouldn’t become paranoid and make such a fuss.
We aren’t that important to our world outside.
I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or damage your pride.
All I meant was, it doesn’t matter what people say.
There are more important things to be done each day.
You could do something for others, show kindness and love.
You could turn over your problems to the good Lord above.
You may not like what people say or like their tone,
But the saying is true ,
When they’re talking about you, they’re leaving me alone.
It’s an anecdote but it truly makes sense,
Don’t let it bother you or make you tense.
Just keep on doing what you know is right,
And keep God close and right in your site.
HE’s all that’s important and it’s what HE thinks matters,
So block out all the gossip and those foolish chatters.
Reach out to the sick, the lonely and weak,
These are God’s children that you need to seek.
Show them God’s love that he shows to you,
And know what’s important, know what is true .
There’s no better feelin’ than to bring someone bliss,
You could do it with a smile, a hug, word or kiss.
So don’t worry about what others say about you.
God knows your heart and knows that is true .
