Somedays I complain about my chores but someday, I will love doing them, someday!

Poem Artwork

Heaven’s Not the Same

Don’t count me out just yet, I still have things to achieve,
I haven’t fulfilled all the tasks that my Lord asked of me.
If he decides to call me home before that I am done,
I would be a disappointment to my father and to his son.

Some of my tasks went quickly but others took some time.
Some of them I understood, but others confused my mind.
But it seems when I’m most confused, he always steps right in.
HE helps me through my challenge, that’s how it’s always been.

But this time HE gave me a challenge, that’s more than I can bear,
I asked HIM for his patience when I knelt down in prayer.
It seems to me he pushes harder until I finally submit.
HE gives me encouragement, so I don’t give up and quit.

Oh, how he knows me and knows how much I can take.
For HE made me just like I am, he knows when I will break.
I have always been HIS child and no one knows me more.
HE knows me through and through, right to my very core.

How wonderful it will be when my chores on earth are done.
When he finally calls me home, to meet HIM and his son.
I will know I pleased HIM, the day HE calls my name.
I’ll still have my chores to do, but in Heaven, it won’t be the same.

Bonnie, as long as you get a long distance returning call you know that He isn't in any hurry, do all the things that your heart demands and one day we will be able to thank Him in person for His sacrifice.
