Lord Walk With Me Today
O’ Lord, please walk with me today and hold my hand tight,
Take me to a serene and peaceful place and walk me into light.
Speak to me with your words of wisdom, love and undying hope.
For when I need your power, I will have the strength to cope.
Talk to me about this beautiful country and about the man soon to lead.
Speak to me about our leaders in congress and about all their greed.
Let them start putting our country first for that is why they’re there.
And tell me Lord, what I can do and ask for in my nightly prayer.
In these days, how can anyone not believe, for you are every where?
You’re in the flowers, in trees, you’re throughout this atmosphere.
You are in our every hour of every day and all our pleading prayers.
So all we ever need to do is ask and you are always right there.
I’m grateful Lord, for giving me my parents with strong faith in you.
And for them sharing that faith with me which always got me through.
Also thank you Lord for my walk today, it strengthened me again.
And I know you’ll always walk with me when I begin to bend.
