My little Grandchildren are mourning today for the loss of their little puppy named Gigi. She was attacked in their yard in Tucson. Hayden feels guilt because he left the puppy out in the yard and Hannah is over-whelmed with grief.
Little Ones Mourn Today
Two little ones are crying tears today, both because of a loss.
A tragedy struck them and in a pool of agony they were tossed.
One holds guilt and heartache the other is saddened with grief.
Their little puppy was killed today; their heartache has no relief.
It’s so impossible to explain to them why painful things take place.
It’s hard to watch your child in torment, and tears upon their face.
All you can do is comfort them with love and hugs galore.
Keep telling them it will be alright, until they need no more.
Watching their darling little ones mourn for their beloved pet,
Is the closest thing to torment that a loving parent can get.
All you can do is be patient for mourning takes some time.
You can only be there for them and soon they will be fine.
Make sure they know for sure that no one was to blame.
God wanted their little puppy so HE called the puppy’s name.
He has plans in heaven for Hannah and Hayden’s little dog.
He will teach her many things if he can stop her from chasing frogs.
Their little puppies in heaven now and being held by the angels above.
They’re showing her around up there and showing her much love.
She’s not in pain or hurting anymore because God heals all wounds.
She’s playing & catching stars right now and running on the moon.
When they start to heal, you’ll see their smiles again.
That’s when they’ll hear your words of love,
& their little hearts will mend.
this is a very sad event for the little ones - truly, a significant, emotional event, they will not soon forget -- they must have continuous doses of love -- so very sorry -- my granddaughter just recently went through a similar tragedy with the loss of her little pet dog -- peace and love to you Bonnie -- JMW
Bonnie,
I am so sorry your grandchildren suffered the loss of their puppy. This is a horrible loss and so difficult for children who tend to trust their world. Your poem really touched me. They are so lucky to have you. Blessings and prayers for your family.

It could be prevented if the leash-law was abided for, this poems should be send to the owners of the attacking dog telling them to come and say how "sorry" they are to the little children.
Send the following site for their parents to read to them, maybe it will comfort them just a bit, knowing that their puppy is not alone up in heaven...http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm
Oh Bonnie... how sad for the children.... and what can one say to them to make it better? Just hugs and love and maybe a new puppy.... you'll have to write them another story, saying that Jesus needed some new puppy angels, because there is just too much work for the really big pets to do.... ?? Anyway... I love you and this morning has been wonderful so far. I got up earlier than usual...hehe...and... checked on my big bird...(I haven't tried to fix one in 25 yrs....Gib did all the fixing...:-)) so... I've had so much fun doing it. Anyway... I got up to gather my things for cooking, and joe gave me a big hug and kiss and said..."close your eyes"...and I did... then he handed me a gorgeous bouquet of these peachy colored roses...they are so lovely... Yellow are my favorite and have been forever...the only kind Gib ever gave me...so Joe began doing the same over the years... more than Gib ever did actually...hehe....but I said something last year to him about a dozen roses he'd gotten me one day that were coral and orange and peach colored...they were so beautiful....and I said, "I think I'd like these to be my favorite color now".... and he remembered!!! They are sitting in the center of the table... then I went for a long walk around the park with him.... quite a walk....my first time.... he walks it 2-3 times every morning.... and it was moist out... It's been raining here for 3 days off and on which is wonderful for us here!!! I loved the walk, and it was no big deal.... he was impressed! Then the next great thing happened.... We gave away our BBQ grill this past summer when we went to Mexico to look at homes...thinking we would not need it anymore..... and... now we love our little place and a grill would be so nice...but they are expensive...and so we just put one on the "list" of "soon"....??? So... this morning on our walk...on the far end of our lovely park, there sat an almost bright new grill ... one of those really nice ones ...big, in silver, and with a propane tank attached.... just like new !!! It had a sign on it... "Free... please take it...It works great...WE are moving."............So... we got my SUV....and we returned and loaded it....and now we have a brand new BBQ grill for our patio!!! Thank you God... isn't that wonderful.... Joe's children Ashley 16 and Cory 13 are on their way to visit (they won't have dinner here...they are having it at home with g-parents from San Diego)...but they are visiting from 11:30 to 2 pm.... So we are going to play some games of Penochle and other board games...they are such fanatics...hehe.... then.. when they leave, I'll set the table for just Joe and I.... everyone had someplace else to go.... We turned down our invites because I wanted to cook... duh....but I think this is good for him and I... anyway... we will go visit my close friends Nancy and Vince (they are giving us a brand new lovely Tuscan & glass wrought iron dining set...but we'll get it next week...) We have an old round southwest set that Joe's had for eons...and it's nice tho... but Nancy wants me to have the new one.... cool... She also has 2 new barstools for me (mine are these huge, heavy Tuscan/Mexican copper swivel ones that I had made before I left Joe...and they are too big, too ornate...and too heavy for this small place...hehe)... She has some nice drapes for me too... (her home was a model and the drapes are really nice...but she changed them and I love the others so she's giving them to me...hot dog).... Well... I gotta go... the kids are here... plz have a wonderful day... love you... lindalaw
