In Austrailia there are fires buring...this is one fireman's story...

A Fireman’s Job

Fighting fires was this fireman’s job, something he loved to do.
Risking his life with every new fire as his experience grew.
He had a wonderful loving family, a wife and child he adored.
He’d kissed them so soundly each day, as he left through the door.

He never knew what could happen in the dangers that lay ahead.
So he told them everyday how much he loved them, as left his bed.
Never in a million years did he realize what the job he loved would cost.
For while he was fighting a tragic fire, his family was burned and lost.

How much can one man give in doing for others each day?
How will he survive, with this loss and how much he had to pay?
He lost his beloved wife in that same fire and lost his precious son.
He will remember this great loss everyday, until his day is done.

He doesn’t realize of how many other lives he saved that day.
For his pain is too great, he is  too deep in dismay.
He paid a heavy price when he left his family that morn.
If only he wouldn’t have gone that day, is why he’s so torn.

How many sacrifices our valiant firemen have given.
So these brave men can help us with our quality of living.
God bless you all, may he grant you peace and serenity.
For helping all others and for how much you've done for me.

It amazes me how much these firemen are willing to sacrifice for others. It is a tragic story...thanks for opening our eyes to it.

God bless you Bonnie for this heartfelt write of those who seldom receive any recognition for the risky jobs they perform. May God look kindly upon all....

Be always safe,

Thank you, Bonnie, from the bottom of my heart. Some give of themselves to the uttermost with every living breath... and pay the ultimate price. But this is some twist of the knife: to lose your own in a travesty of the way in which you save others day after day. Not only a dangerous way to put your life on the line, but also a very uncomfortable one. Thank you for this immense penning. Our service men and women are the ultimate heros. God bless each one of them. Kate xx

No amount of praise is enough for these service men and women, whether they be firemen, policemen or people in the military. They risk their lifes for us...how can we ever thank them enough.

And one wonders why this noble had to lose his family doing good when others barbarians live to torture theirs? Where was the hand protecting them?
I remember everyday those NY firemen that lost their lives on 9/11, I remember them with awe and respect, their isn't a job its a call.
