I was given a gift on a cold winter night,
a corner with one adjoined piece of puzzle.
I looked at it and wondered what this meant
and why this simple gift was given to me.
I wondered why the two outer edged pieces,
what significance did this have?
Was it to signify a frame to guide by joints efforts
or merely that two fit together becoming one?
Then I relized this is where we all look to start,
to make an outline of what is to be created.
To see that when each piece is joined with others,
the puzzle begins to take on meaning and life.
One piece is not more important than the other,
each has a place where it fits within the puzzle.
Slowly as each piece is joined one by one
the bigger picture comes into view.
I realize now what a precious gift I received
for I was made to be a part of something special.
I was a piece that fit into the bigger picture
that you framed upon your heart.
