Slavery of Hope

Tears fall silently
for the sorrow of love
that binds my yearning heart
to slavery of hope.

To touch, to taste, to savor
would be divine,
but reality, it is only a dream
with each breath taken.

Nevertheless, with each dream,
I draw near to my hearts desire.
Quenching my minds thirst,
leaving my body to sorrow.

This tormented soul knows,
that day will turn into night
and night into day, but the dream
nor the slavery, will ever fade.
