I wrote this poem to serve as strong inspiration to friends in times of emotional crisis. It has recieved the greatest amount of positive feedback out of anything I have ever written.
Friendship is life’s embrace
A blanket of union to be treasured and shared
From youth, to one’s hometown to a penpal anywhere
It is the trusting stronghold that paves way to love
A link that binds and covenantly seals
Without dishonesty, backstabbing or lies to steal
Every friend is a mate whom God placed to be angels in our life
They support, strengthen and encourage
Amist tribulation and strife
Whenever we are feeling defeated or down
It is a friends embracing hug that removes its frown
Time can pass and contact can temporarily cease
But the place of a true friend is where the heart beats
It is the fortress of brotherhood and sisterhood
In times of loneliness and in celebrating triumph
A friend never neglects
Always there to share a laugh and help heal beyond regrets
Who knew the Wright's had a trunk full of hidden family secrets? Searching for treasure and hidden family secrets is one way to fuel the flames of passion.
