Who seek higher ground instead of scum
Why must we listen to such tripe
From left and right who excel in hype
Save our sanity from ridiculous claims
That divide a nation healed from shame

We, the People deserve better than this
Remove the experts who cannot resist
To pontificate and spin their views
Without concern for me and you
Turn away from those who would have you believe
That we’re prone to forces who wish to deceive

Our nation was founded on pluralistic debate
Witness the Declaration that established our fate
Thirteen colonies forever united
Against foreign influence that once divided
A people who fought for religious freedom
From monarchs entrenched to save their kingdoms
