I hope this touches some adults and
makes them look at their children, friend's
children and younger family members equally.
This is a tough emotion I've battled in my life.
I compare myself as I am now to how I predict
myself to be as a mother, grandmother, friend

Beyonce's song If I Were a Boy.
My Dearest Kathryn,
Knowing you as I do, I'm not at all surprised by the depth and quality of your write, "If I Was Grown." But from what you have shared with me over some considerable time, what I think you have also expressed is how you were raised: Interested and supportive parents who share their viewpoints on what is right in life and then give you the freedom to "Let go and grow."
You have not only shared an inspirational work with us but, in doing so, have honored your parents. Just one more reason I adore you!
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
