We sat upon the wind,
Lost in each other's eyes.

I said that I was waiting,
You said that you were fine.

But I could tell that you were cold,
So I scooted closer to you.

And when I whispered I should go,
You leaned in and said "no really, do you?"

You touched my skin,
And grasped my hand.
I set my fears aside.

For that moment in time,
I took my luck and pride.

I felt my lips hit yours,
And enjoyed the lingering sensation.

Your soft, wet mouth
And the tale of time's limitation.

I could not believe we had waited this long,
To feel arousal's tug.

But when you pulled me close,
I was only longing for a hug.

When my hand ran across your jeans,
You chuckled back with relief.

At the blessing of the girl you had loved,
Finally out of your dream.

Now on this day, I lay in bed.
Wishing I was seeing your head.

I journeyed down the beach
And I looked up at the sky.

I said "Thank you for all you've done,
Now this is your goodbye."

"Bringing Up the Past" is a wonderful touch of reality, even though it reminds us all of the hurt that comes when we no longer share the love and closeness of a friend and partner in life.

But life is full of experiences, full of goodbyes and full of new hellos.

I said Hello to you quite some time ago, my dear Kathryn, and you have filled my heart with wonderful thoughts and words and ideas and love. Enjoying your amazing musical montages on www.YouTube.com/ReadySetShine has been a true joy.

May God bless you as you look forward to your Happy New Year!

With love and admiration,
Richard
