More to me
Than my nakedness

In your nakedness
I watched you sleep
and I said to myself
This one i cannot keep
He is too beautiful
For even me
And I have never
had such luck as to have
someone who truly wanted me
More than his bedmate
Someone whom i could share
An equal desire
With whom i could resonate
For all eternity
Forever going in circles
Where someone else declares
love and desire
but knows of neither
For love is more than just
A passing whim
And i have felt this for some time
But then i knew you could never be mine
And I am too afraid to go back
If it were so
In case you were to hurt me again
So i guess you will never know
For you didn't give us a chance to grow.
And in faux love's nakedness
I have finally let go
