PS:    I grant you magnifique color
and an uncanny eye {no doubt skewed
on purpose}.  Early work soared. 
Among others, your portrait of Romeo
and Juliet tugged at my senses
to the point where I snapped
up a print.  Boudoirs are graced
with its red, blue, and lavender glow
that makes their young flesh lumninesce
the more.  Ahhhhh.   So nice to see
two people too smitten to hold back.
Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead.
Like the little girl with the curl,
you were very, very good when not
horrid.  Never for lack of passion.
Mon Dieu.  As a husband, it was all you
offered, gossips were bad to spread.  
"Ma'm, the suspect was throwing in
romance – chocolate from Paris here,
posie from a kiosk there,  doomed
lovers in romantic pose the last resort.
Can't know such a complex man.  
Artists are. . .you know.  Seems to hide
a lot with doodles.  Outstanding
doodles,  no question..  That woman
he sawed apart and put back together
before a mirror?  B r i l l a n t.   Er,
cubes are not for everyone.  Better
than we could do, huh?   Prison--?
Looks to me like he's doing time
building and rebuilding his own.
