Ain't No Rhyme or Reason

Twists and turns, ups and downs, this life's tough, runs us down, but you can make it, so turn it around.

 

We met in the park,

Kissed in the dark,

Hunting for snark,

Boy! Was it a lark.
 
 
Fell in love then married,
 
Pregnant but miscarried,
 
Had to abort a tiny fetus,
 
One unnamed we buried.
 
 
Finally had our baby,
 
An Einstein maybe,
 
Could be a genius,
 
He’d never betray me.
 
 
Success! Embolden,
 
Time to shine golden,
 
Flamed-out  smolder,
 
Marriage’s cuckolden.
 
 
Interrogatory dog,
 
Acting like a hog,
 
Legal trickery fog,
 
Obligatory blogs.
 
 
Courthouse steppes,
 
Masturbatory,
 
But I digress,
 
Cohabitation redress.
 
 
Linear algebra-ed,
 
X-Y grids climbed,
 
Negatively sloped,
 
Variable resigned.
 
 
IOU happiness unwind,
 
Interest rate re-primed,
 
Financial matrix timed,
 
Life’s calculus slimed.
 
 
Now adding my balls up,
 
All’s left is an empty cup,
 
Can’t afford to buy more,
 
So please don’t fill ‘er up.
 
 
Though wounded,
 
Still this abounds,
 
Life's turn around,
 
Happiness found.
