"Moon Goddess"

She is a goddess amongst all of the beautiful creations
A gem in the sands of time long coveted by dreamers
A treasure unburied by the faults and errors of the earth
She walks in the garden bathed by the light of galaxies
and her soft bare shoulders become the icon of woman
punctuated only by the gentle sway of her long tresses
the sun smiles upon her through the brow of the moon
as the angry clouds part to separate fast from her path
her elegant voice echoes within chambers of the heart
and the old soul rattles in the vibrations of her footsteps
her lips issue forth truth and a brighter day as they part
without the bitter residue of the past upon her tongue
her language is a sanctuary to poets and artists alike
leaving but a sweet thought upon the mind to ponder
in the sharp colors and hues of an illuminated wonder
in portraits and landscapes suspended on walls of love
she bows to her mantra and focuses sharply in healing
to all of those in shadows willing to step into her light
