"Sonoran Moon"

She sleeps under a Sonoran moon
under a canopy of shimmering stars
Her bright eyes light up the desert
as mountains reign in the horizon
and her wisdom conquers the sky
as well as hearts that beat for her
she conveys it all through a mirage
shattering the calm of the distance
erupting from sand as imagination
into the naked beauty we envision
translated from her precious heart
into the beauty inside we all know
turning impossible dream into reality
bringing a welcome rain to the mind
washing away all doubt and despair
her treasures drenched by inspiration
welled from a spring of eternal dreams
and a vast array of fruitful knowledge
all culled from her years of experience
and living dear life for so many others
resurrecting those with whom she shares
kept safe in the warm harbor of her love

It is there where I come to her in slumber
to caress her, awaiting her justified smile
that she drifts with the dreams of passion
and stirs anxious within her satin sheets
listening intently to the whispers of angels
that gently coax her into a restful sleep
it is there I hold her in tender embrace
and kiss her lightly in a mist of dreams
as she floats off into an ocean of wants
within the waves under orgasmic clouds
replete with the incense of sheer desire
and then I become excited by her touch
as she responds to my Sonoran shadow
standing over her like the desert cactus
familiar to her in the depths of the night
it is there where she writhes in pleasure
it is there where I gingerly take her hand
and lead her straight to Andromeda’s table
in a simile to what she would call an oasis
a parallel of desire and intimate whispers
as we listen intently to the songs of nature
where we dance to the music of her dreams
