Her voice was a jasmine in blooming
A whisper that was scented in silk
Where her eyes spoke of secrets in waiting
Yet the shadows would tug at her waist
Her lips would be chariots of fire
Desirous of the hills they would climb
Hugging the great dunes of pleasure
And the vast valleys of sensuous flames
I take from her whatever I can savor
In the wake of her daintiest of steps
Where her fingers have lingered in writing
And awakened the poor devil who sleeps
I am naked in the light of her essence
A speck on the floor she has mapped
Lost in a dream that few maybe interpret
But blinded by the light she has cast
She abandons me to wonder about her
Like the wreck of a ship upon rocks
With my thoughts akin to souls drowning
And my heart lies afloat in still pause
Amor it's always wonderful to read you and to know you are still penning your gorgeous poetry. This is so poignant and stunning. You are the master of classic romance. Please don't ever stop writing, you will soon have another book to publish!
