Amazing Beauty

We have become synonymous, you and I
and it is just as if we were one in spirit
filled with the wondrous mystery of love
replete with the unbreakable promise
Therefore, I find it difficult to look away
from such a beautiful and youthful face
for the perfection of your intriguing form
screams out unobtrusively for my attention

I can measure dreams in a matter of inches
from your chin to the crown of your head
from your nose to the nape of your neck
amazed and in awe of all that is contained
imagining the soft sensuality of your lips
and the priceless gleam set in your eyes
that belie the treasures of your thoughts
in the sweet logic of your being woman
with the essence of a complete universe

So how do I measure with any accuracy?
the warmth that radiates from your heart
as it beats endlessly within your chest
describing the way it leaves me breathless
when I would love to say in all honesty
that I am not moved by your physical being
or that beauty does not light the fires
that burn deeply within my fantasies
but I know well that it would be untrue
for I know I cannot take my eyes away
and your beauty extracts all my passion
as it provokes me in immediate obsession

And you can also tell when I am inspired
when I cannot look upon your beauty
without seeing the universe explode
and all the falling pieces glittering about
as they recombine once more to you
I have seen all of God’s greatest creations
each one as splendorous as the next
but I cannot find anything more beautiful
than that beauty when I look at you

How beautiful! Such warmth, tenderness and love exudes from your poem. It's like a setting sun surrounded by colors of the rainbow, snuggling against a warm blue sky. It makes me want to wrap up inside the words.
