I vividly remember a song from long ago
composed by the sweat of heaving bodies
in the dim light of a blowing March wind
and yet the forgotten day was like night
and the night was an impotent forest
that mumbled something in its shadows

You peeled my skin with saddened eyes
and touched me with a foreign accent
while I sat trembling at the end of the bed
where you blindfolded me with promises
The vivid corners of your lust collected me
leaving my soul in a half-bleached vacuum

The morning is Tang in lead crystal chalice
each facet cut like a prism out of the box
diffusing dreams in a three dimensional ray
that unfolded upon the deep blue sheets
and saturated us in those unworldly colors
and permeated us despite our fatigued souls

Those vivid corners continue to gather dust
and cobwebs from the consistent neglect
and I begin to choke as I dwell in the memory
of something that we once shared long ago
for time has made me forget the evil in you
Yet I can still remember the axis of your smile
